I'm a native of Virginia; I did my undergraduate premed work at Bob Jones University. I returned home for medical school at the University of Virginia. The Air Force brought me to San Antonio, Texas, where I've learned to savor breakfast tacos, Americana country-roots music, and the Texas Hill Country. My wife and I also started our family here; both of our girls, and our son are Texans. I'm an avid recycler, water my garden with harvested rainwater, and drive an ultra-low emissions vehicle (just my Honda Civic - not rich enough to afford a Prius).
